Team Expansion Skills Training
Thursday, June 28 - Sunday, July 1, 2012
This four-day advanced training is for Antiracism Teams that are expanding their membership. Participants will:
- Review their Team's vision & explore mutual self-interest
- Clarify Team's institutional mandate
- Build organizing skills and strategies
- Examine teaching tools and methods
- Learn to identify and work with stakeholders
- Use strategic planning to propel the work forward
- Increase/hone Caucusing skills
- Reflect on successes and challenges, and apply team's learnings to next organizing steps
- Reflect on Transformational Values
REGISTER UP TO 4 TEAM MEMBERS FOR ONE FLAT FEE: $2,400 Additional team members: $600 each Registration ends June 15th
Continental breakfasts, lunches and materials included in fees.
Registration Requirements:
- Participants must be members of their institution's antiracism team.
- New team members must have attended a Crossroads 2.5 day Analysis of Systemic Racism workshop. (Visit www.crossroadsantiracism.org/trainings and click on the 'Calendar of Training Events' for upcoming 2.5 day workshop dates).
- Teams must send at least one member who has already completed the full team training process to work with new team members.
- With registration confirmation, teams will be sent a list of assignments to prepare to bring to the training.
Special Offer to Participating Teams:
Crossroads strongly recommends scheduling a one-day Team Expansion Follow-up & Renewal within six months of this training. Teams making a $500 deposit with this registration and holding their event by December 30th, 2012 will receive a $500 discount off the fee: $2,000* (regularly $2,500)

- It offers teams a chance to reflect on their work together.
- Follow-ups can assist in nurturing seamless team expansion and building team relationships.
- Teams can seek additional guidance about organizing skills and strategy development.
- With 6-months of post-training experience, teams can seek assistance in recalibrating their work.
